Bilateral RTI Calls

Based on direct G2G contacts of the Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK), regular bilateral funding calls are issued which support cooperation with foreign research partners and facilitate technology transfer.

Bilateral Funding Call MOST/China

With funding from the Austrian government, FFG can implement calls for cooperative R&I projects between organisations from Austria and China on certain Topics.

From October 18, 2023 to January 31, 2024 the 4th bilateral Call with MOST was open, with a focus on energy transition.

Focus Areas of the 4th Bilateral Call MOST/China

1. Enabling Technologies - Enhance competences in key technologies to utilize renewable energy and increase resource efficiency in the energy sector

2. Energy Systems and Networks

Bilateral Call Jiangsu (China)

In early March 2022, the Chinese Jiangsu Science and Technology Department (JSTD) and the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of green technologies and research.
The second bilateral Call for projects was conducted 2023 in the field of circular economy.

To support initiating B2B contacts for the submission of project proposals FFG and JSTD hosted a bilateral roundtables to introduce the bilateral call and showcase potential partners from both countries.
